Escaped Kentucky Inmates Recaptured, Held in Custody
Two inmates, Michael Reynolds and Jonathan Mullins, escaped from Blackburn Correctional Complex, a minimum-security prison in Lexington, Kentucky, on the night of July 26. The escape was discovered by prison staff around 8:50 p.m., prompting a statewide search by Kentucky State Police. Reynolds, 32, was serving time for criminal mischief and wanton endangerment, while Mullins, 30, was incarcerated for second-degree robbery and theft by unlawful taking. Both men were described and the public was urged to report any information about them. Kentucky State Police later announced that Reynolds and Mullins were located and arrested without incident. They are now being held at the Woodford County Detention Center, while the circumstances of their escape remain under investigation.
