Augusta National's $5M Aid for Hurricane Helene Relief

Augusta National Golf Club and the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area have pledged $5 million to the Hurricane Helene Community Crisis Fund to aid relief efforts in Augusta, Georgia, which was severely impacted by the storm. The hurricane, which struck as a Category 4 storm, left extensive damage and power outages, with over 190 fatalities reported across six states. Despite significant damage to the Augusta National Golf Course, Chairman Fred Ridley confirmed that the 2025 Masters Tournament will proceed as planned. The club has also focused on community recovery, with employees actively participating in relief efforts alongside the American Red Cross. Ridley emphasized the club's commitment to rebuilding and supporting the local community through this crisis.
