CBS's 'The Road' to Transform Music Competitions

Blake Shelton, former coach of 'The Voice,' is collaborating with 'Yellowstone' creator Taylor Sheridan and longtime collaborator Lee Metzger to produce a new singing competition series titled 'The Road,' set to premiere on CBS in fall 2025. The series will follow a headlining music superstar, yet to be named, as they tour across the U.S. with emerging artists competing as opening acts. Contestants must win over local audiences to secure their place in the next city, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at life on tour. The show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Shelton's Lucky Horseshoe Productions.
