FKA Twigs Settles Shia LaBeouf Abuse Lawsuit, Still Feels Unsafe
FKA Twigs sued actor Shia LaBeouf in 2020, accusing him of sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress during their relationship, seeking $10 million in damages. The two reached a private settlement in 2025 before going to trial, with both parties wishing each other personal happiness and peace in a joint statement. Despite the settlement, Twigs revealed in a recent interview that she still does not feel safe and is focusing her energy on supporting organizations that aid survivors of abuse, such as Sistah Space and No More. She described the abuse as the worst experience of her life and expressed ongoing concerns about community safety, especially for women, trans, queer, and people of color. LaBeouf acknowledged in past statements that he hurt his ex-partner but denied the allegations. Twigs is now concentrating on moving forward with her life and her artistic career while advocating for survivors.
