Thousands of AC Milan Fans Protest Owners After Disappointing Season, Walk Out in Final Game
AC Milan supporters have launched widespread protests against the club's leadership following a disappointing 2024-2025 season in which the team finished outside European qualification spots and lost the Italian Cup final. Thousands of fans gathered outside Casa Milan, displaying banners demanding the departure of key executives including Paul Singer, Gerry Cardinale, Giorgio Furlani, Paolo Scaroni, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and sporting director Frederic Massara Moncada, blaming them for the club's decline and lack of ambition. Inside San Siro during the final match against Monza, fans organized a coordinated 'Go home' message and staged a walkout after 15 minutes to express their frustration. The supporters recalled the club’s recent successes, including the Scudetto win three years earlier under Paolo Maldini's leadership, and criticized the management's refusal to hire a strong coach like Antonio Conte last summer, as well as the instability caused by dismissing two head coaches mid-season. Fans also called for Maldini’s return to help rescue the club from its current turmoil. The protests reflect deep dissatisfaction with the owners' perceived commercial focus over the club's identity and sporting ambitions.
