Colombian Man Arrested Smuggling Cocaine Under Wig

A Colombian man was arrested at Rafael Nunez International Airport in Cartagena for attempting to smuggle over $10,000 worth of cocaine under a wig as he tried to board a flight to Amsterdam. The 40-year-old suspect was stopped by anti-narcotics police after a body scan revealed anomalies in his hair. Hidden beneath the wig were 19 capsules containing 220 grams of cocaine, which police confirmed through a Homologated Preliminary Identification Test. The suspect, who has a history of drug trafficking, is now facing charges of trafficking, manufacturing, and carrying narcotic substances. This incident is part of broader efforts by Colombian authorities to combat drug trafficking, with more than 450 arrests made this year alone. Colombian police highlighted the importance of community cooperation in identifying and apprehending drug traffickers.
