Gmail Launches New Purchases Tab to Track Online Orders

Google is rolling out a new Purchases tab in Gmail for both mobile and web users, designed to consolidate all order-related emails such as receipts, order confirmations, and shipping details into one easy-to-access location. This update builds on existing package tracking features that highlight deliveries expected within 24 hours at the top of the inbox, while the Purchases tab will enable users to view all their purchase information at a glance and search within these emails. Additionally, the Promotions tab is receiving an upgrade that allows sorting by "most relevant" emails based on user interaction, alongside flagged deal alerts and timely reminders about expiring offers. These changes aim to reduce inbox clutter and make managing online orders and deals more straightforward, especially during the holiday season. The new features will be available soon to personal Gmail accounts on mobile, enhancing the overall shopping and email management experience. Google plans to roll out the Promotions tab enhancements in the coming weeks, while the Purchases tab is already starting to appear for users.
