Suspect in Valentine's Day Pub Shooting Believed Dead in Thames
Lisa Smith, 43, was shot dead outside The Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, on Valentine's Day, with her husband, Edvard Stockings, being the primary suspect. After the shooting, a car containing a handgun was found abandoned on the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, where Stockings was believed to have fallen into the River Thames. Kent Police have conducted extensive searches for his body, aided by multiple agencies, but have not yet recovered it. Detective Chief Inspector Dave Higham indicated that their investigation suggests Stockings likely died in the river. The police are exploring the possibility of a murder-suicide, given the relationship between the victim and suspect. The incident has left a community in shock and mourning for Smith's loss.
