Jai Lucas hires Charlton Young as associate coach at Miami

The University of Miami has officially hired Charlton 'C.Y.' Young as the associate head coach for its men's basketball program under head coach Jai Lucas. Young, a Miami native with nearly three decades of coaching experience, previously served as associate head coach at the University of Missouri, where he contributed to two NCAA Tournament appearances and a record 25 wins in the 2022-23 season. He has also spent nine seasons at Florida State, where he played a key role in achieving significant milestones, including an ACC regular-season championship and three Sweet Sixteen appearances. Young's extensive coaching background includes stints at several universities and a strong reputation for player development and recruiting. His addition is seen as a major asset to the Hurricanes as they aim to strengthen their program and community ties. In related news, Miami also welcomed Dante Allen, a four-star recruit, who has committed to play for the Hurricanes after de-committing from Villanova.
