Annual Food Drives Address Local Hunger Issues

Multiple initiatives are underway to combat food insecurity across various communities. The San Diego Food Bank has partnered with Barons Market for its fourth annual Fall Food Drive, addressing the increasing challenges faced by families in affording basic needs. Razorback Food Recovery is seeking volunteers for a new food distribution shift, facilitating the delivery of surplus food to the Full Circle Food Pantry on campus. In Carol Stream, two park district facilities are now year-round collection sites for local food banks, accepting nonperishable items and hygiene products. Meanwhile, the 37th Annual Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive in Peoria encourages donations at local Kroger locations to support the Peoria Friendship House. Lastly, Meals for the Heartland is mobilizing volunteers in a friendly competition to pack meals for children in need.
