Renowned actress Tilda Swinton will star in 'Death in Her Hands,' a film adaptation of Ottessa Moshfegh's cult novel, directed and scripted by David Lowery. The psychological thriller centers on Vesta Gul, a recent widow who finds a cryptic note about a woman named Magda and becomes obsessed with uncovering the mystery, blurring the line between reality and imagination. The project is produced by Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, and Jeanie Igoe, with Simon Gillis and Ann Phillips as executive producers, and backed by Oscar-winning See-Saw Films. Lowery, an admirer of Moshfegh's writing, acknowledges the challenge of adapting the novel's unique narrative but is motivated by the strong collaboration with Swinton and the production team.
