Metallica Releases Load Remastered Deluxe Box Set with 245 Unreleased Tracks

Metallica has released a remastered edition of their 5x platinum album Load, originally released in 1996, offering fans an extensive box set that includes 245 previously unreleased tracks alongside live recordings, demos, and rough mixes. Produced by Bob Rock and remastered by Reuben Cohen with Greg Fidelman overseeing, the deluxe set is available in various formats including 180-gram double vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital with a Spatial Audio mix. This release features the extended version of "The Outlaw Torn" for the first time, which was previously shortened due to CD manufacturing limits. The deluxe box set also contains memorabilia such as a 128-page hardcover book with unseen photos and stories, posters, guitar picks, lyric sheets, and DVDs with live performances and behind-the-scenes footage from the mid-90s era. The Load era marked a stylistic shift for Metallica, incorporating more hard rock and alternative elements, which divided fans but maintained commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and achieving multi-platinum status. Alongside the release, Metallica continues to tour, giving fans opportunities to experience the era live.
