Apple TV+ Begins Production on Lars Kepler Serial Killer Drama in Pittsburgh
Apple TV+ has greenlit a new 10-episode crime drama series based on Lars Kepler's bestselling Joona Linna novels, starring Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, and Stephen Graham. The series follows Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who relocates from Philadelphia to a small town in Western Pennsylvania, only to confront a cunning serial killer, Jurek Walter (Graham), threatening his family. Jonah's adopted daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), is forced to face Jurek in a desperate search for his last missing victim. Rowan Joffe and John Hlavin serve as showrunners and executive producers, with Tim Van Patten directing the first two episodes and also executive producing. The series is produced by A+E Studios in association with Range Studios, with executive production involvement from the authors Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril, who write under the pen name Lars Kepler. Production is set to begin this summer in Pittsburgh, continuing Apple TV+'s expansion of high-profile original content.
