Euphoria Season 3 Production Begins Amid Cast Changes

HBO has begun production for the highly anticipated third season of 'Euphoria,' three years after the conclusion of Season 2 in February 2022. The upcoming season will see Zendaya return as Rue Bennett, with most of the main cast, except for Barbie Ferreira and the late Angus Cloud, who passed away in July 2023. Production delays were attributed to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, scheduling conflicts due to cast members' busy careers, and creator Sam Levinson's involvement with other projects. The new season is expected to consist of eight episodes and will feature a time jump, moving the characters beyond high school. Despite rumors of a significant five-year leap and Rue becoming a private investigator, HBO opted to maintain continuity with the previous seasons. No specific release date has been announced yet, but a 2025 premiere is speculated.
