Mishal Husain, the BBC presenter who interviewed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their engagement, has responded to Meghan's claims that the interview was an 'orchestrated reality show'. In her comments, Husain expressed surprise at Meghan's assertions, stating that the couple appeared genuinely joyful and had clearly considered their new lives together. Husain recalled that there was no indication of future troubles during the interview, which took place in May 2018. Meghan's Netflix docuseries suggested the interview was rehearsed, prompting Husain to emphasize that their interaction felt natural and unscripted. Furthermore, it was reported that Meghan preferred Oprah Winfrey to conduct the interview, feeling Husain lacked empathy. The BBC's director-general at the time also rejected Meghan's claims, reiterating that the interview was not staged.
