The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. when the children's mother briefly left them unattended to enter a nearby business. Upon her return, she found Brass in the driver's seat, holding a knife to her 7-year-old son while sexually assaulting him and striking the 11-month-old infant. Brass fled when the mother returned with her boyfriend, prompting a police investigation that led to his arrest hours later. He faces multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, lewd acts on a minor, and kidnapping with intent to commit a sex act. The infant sustained minor injuries, and the mother reported that a wallet was stolen from the vehicle during the incident.
