Flintoff Crash Film Reveals Settlement, Top Gear Suspension

A new Disney+ documentary titled 'Flintoff' explores former cricket star Freddie Flintoff's near-fatal Top Gear crash in December 2022, which left him with severe facial injuries and broken ribs after his helmetless Morgan Super 3 flipped at high speed during filming. The film features previously unseen footage and candid interviews in which Flintoff and his wife Rachael discuss the traumatic aftermath, the emotional toll on their family, and ongoing psychological challenges. Notably, the BBC suspended Top Gear following the incident and paid Flintoff a reported £9 million settlement. Co-presenter Chris Harris has since raised public concerns about safety protocols on the show. The documentary also charts Flintoff's recovery, his struggle to accept life-changing injuries, and his sporting achievements. 'Flintoff' premieres on Disney+ on April 25.
