BIGSOUND 2024, the Southern Hemisphere's largest music industry event, will take place in Brisbane from September 3-6. Pop sensation Tones and I, who gained fame with her hit 'Dance Monkey', will deliver a keynote discussing her musical journey, alongside ABC's new head of music, Emily Copeland, who will outline her career's connection to the Australian music landscape. Fred Leone will also present on the importance of preserving traditional Butchulla songs in contemporary music. The conference will feature over 50 speakers and highlight panels addressing topics such as political voices in music and carbon neutrality in touring. This year's showcase will present over 1200 applicants' talent, promising a vibrant representation of emerging artists. The event's rich lineup includes notable figures like Kelis and Amy Taylor from Amyl and The Sniffers.
