Sabalenka Advances in Australian Open

Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the third round of the Australian Open after overcoming a tough match against Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, winning 6-3, 7-5. Despite facing significant challenges, including dropping serve three times, Sabalenka extended her winning streak at Melbourne Park to 16 matches. In contrast, last year's finalist Zheng Qinwen suffered a surprising second-round exit, losing to Laura Siegemund in straight sets. Sabalenka will next face Denmark's Clara Tauson, who won her match decisively. Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka, a former world number one, also progressed by defeating 20th seed Karolina Muchova after coming back from a set down. Osaka's upcoming match will be against fellow former top-10 player Belinda Bencic, who is returning to Grand Slam tennis post-maternity.
