Two Charged in Banksy Artwork Theft

Two men, Larry Fraser and James Love, have been charged with burglary after stealing Banksy's iconic 'Girl with Balloon' painting in a smash-and-grab raid from Grove Gallery in London on September 8. The artwork, valued at approximately $355,000, was the only item taken and has since been recovered by the Metropolitan Police. CCTV footage captured the thieves breaking the gallery's glass door before taking the painting. Both suspects have been ordered to appear at Kingston Crown Court on October 9. Banksy's 'Girl with Balloon' is one of several versions of the artwork, first appearing in London in 2002 and gaining significant fame and value over the years.
