Alabama Man Extradited, Held for June El Paso Bar Shooting Murder

Terrence Mathews, 38, was arrested in Alabama and extradited to El Paso, Texas, in connection with the June 1 shooting death of 31-year-old Damian Arce outside the Chit Chat Bar. The El Paso Police Department reported that Arce was involved in an altercation with Mathews, after which Mathews shot him and fled the scene. Arce was found with a gunshot wound during a bar check and later died at the hospital. Mathews faces a murder charge and is being held on a $1 million bond at the El Paso County Detention Facility.
