Flacco, Hendrickson Day-to-Day Before Bears Game
The Cincinnati Bengals blew a 39-38 loss to the New York Jets, allowing 23 fourth-quarter points while suffering multiple injuries. Head coach Zac Taylor said Joe Flacco is day-to-day with a sore right throwing shoulder after briefly leaving Sunday’s game and returning for the final drive; if Flacco can’t play the Nov. 2 home game against the Chicago Bears, backup Jake Browning would start. Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson also reaggravated a hip issue and is listed day-to-day. Flacco completed 21-of-34 for 233 yards and two touchdowns and has been strong across three starts since the trade. Taylor publicly lambasted the defense for the collapse and Ja’Marr Chase voiced frustration, leaving Cincinnati facing short-term injuries and a need for both units to respond.
