Greta Lee has confirmed she is leaving The Morning Show after Season 4’s sixth episode, “If Then,” calling her departure “the end” and “goodbye.” On-screen, her character Stella Bak suffers a public collapse when an unfinished AI demo goes rogue and exposes her affair with Miles, prompting Stella’s resignation and ending with an ambiguous image of her boarding a plane alone. Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt said the exit completes Stella’s tech-driven arc—questioning identity, power and the costs of treating technology as a superpower—and was written as the turning point the character needed.
