NYPD Hunts Moped-Riding Robber in Brooklyn

The New York Police Department is conducting a manhunt for a suspect dubbed the 'Haggler After Midnight,' known for his unusual modus operandi of negotiating with his victims during robberies. The suspect has targeted at least 11 Hispanic men aged 20 to 40 in Brooklyn and Queens, mostly on their way home from work in the early morning hours since November 7. He approaches victims on a blue or dark motorbike, wielding a knife, and demands cash and electronics, sometimes rejecting items offered by victims. His attacks have become increasingly violent, with the most recent incident on December 10 involving a knife to a victim's throat. Despite the escalating aggression, no injuries have been reported, and police are offering a reward for information leading to his capture. This crime spree highlights the emotional trauma inflicted on the victims, who are simply returning home from work.
