EIB Allocates €60 Million for Ukraine Infrastructure

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing over €60 million in EU guarantee-backed loans to support critical infrastructure in Ukraine, as part of its Ukraine Solidarity Urgent Response package. This funding will facilitate the reconstruction of a significant section of the M01 highway and the renewal of urban public transport in Kyiv, Odesa, and Sumy. Of the total funding, €43.48 million is specifically allocated for the M01 Kyiv-Chernihiv-Novi Yarylovychi road section, which suffered extensive damage during the war. This initiative is part of a broader commitment, with the EIB having delivered more than €2 billion to Ukraine since 2022. The infrastructure improvements are essential for enhancing transportation efficiency and safety amidst the ongoing conflict.
