Baptist Memorial Health Care and the Fayette County Board of Commissioners have announced plans to construct a new hospital in Fayette County, which has been without a hospital since 2015. This facility, located at the northwest corner of Highway 64 and Warren Road, will be the only hospital in the county and is expected to cost around $24 million, with construction taking approximately two years. The hospital will feature eight emergency rooms, eight acute care inpatient beds, and outpatient imaging and lab services, significantly enhancing healthcare access for the county's 41,000 residents. Local leaders emphasize the critical need for immediate healthcare access, particularly for emergencies, as long travel times can jeopardize patient outcomes. The hospital aims to support not only the health needs of the community but also economic growth, coinciding with Ford's Blue Oval City development nearby.
