Italian ski racer Sofia Goggia won the women's super-G at the Birds of Prey World Cup in Beaver Creek with a time of 1:03.90, marking her 25th career World Cup victory. Goggia credited her success to the advice given by her friend and former ski champion Lindsey Vonn, who provided a course report after serving as a forerunner. This victory is significant for Goggia as it marks a triumphant return after recovering from a serious leg injury sustained in February. She narrowly defeated Swiss skier Lara Gut-Behrami by 0.48 seconds, while Ariane Raedler of Austria secured third place. Goggia expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete again, stating she felt physically and mentally free after having surgery hardware removed in September.
