Nashville Murder Suspect Arrested in Los Angeles for Two Killings

Adrian Cameron Jr., 20, was arrested in Los Angeles by a joint FBI and LAPD task force for his alleged involvement in the April 2024 robbery-related murder of rapper Christopher Cheeks (a.k.a. Chris King) outside a Nashville recording studio. At the time of Cheeks' killing, Cameron was out on bond and wearing an ankle monitor for a separate 2021 murder case involving the death of Josh Evans in Lebanon, Tennessee; police say Cameron cut off his ankle monitor shortly after the 2024 shooting. Cheeks, who was in Nashville to perform at an event, was fatally shot during a robbery attempt while with friends, and another man was also injured. Cameron, previously featured on Nashville's 'Most Wanted' list and with multiple outstanding indictments, will be extradited to Nashville. Another suspect, Amir Carroll, was arrested earlier this year in connection with the Cheeks homicide. Authorities credit a coordinated investigation between Nashville police and federal agencies for Cameron's capture.
