Weezer Bassist's Wife Charged with Attempted Murder After LAPD Shooting

Jillian Lauren, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by police and charged with attempted murder after aiming a gun at officers during a search for suspects involved in a hit-and-run in Los Angeles. The incident occurred on April 8, when officers, pursuing suspects who fled into a residential area, found Lauren armed in her yard. Despite repeated orders to drop the weapon, she allegedly pointed it at the officers, prompting them to fire, resulting in a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her shoulder. Lauren was subsequently taken into custody and transported to a hospital. Notably, she was not involved in the hit-and-run investigation, and no officers were injured during the altercation.
