Osbourne Family Mourns: Ozzy Doc, Dog's Death
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, shortly after his "Back to the Beginning" tribute concert in Birmingham, following a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Paramount+ released Ozzy: No Escape From Now, directed by Tania Alexander, and BBC One’s Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home is also out and is streaming in the U.S. on Peacock. Both films use intimate footage and family interviews to chronicle his last six years, including a severe 2019 fall that worsened his health and led to canceled farewell tours. Reviewers and viewers have called Alexander’s film deeply personal and emotionally difficult, with many reporting strong online reactions. Separately, the Osbourne family announced the death of their 14-year-old dog Elvis; Sharon and daughter Kelly posted emotional Instagram tributes saying Elvis comforted them and helped Kelly through "the darkest moment" after Ozzy’s passing. Together, the tributes and documentaries have underscored the family's recent string of losses and drawn widespread public sympathy.
