Minnesota Double Murder Suspect Randy Zimmerman Captured in Iowa

Randy Zimmerman, 45, has been arrested in Iowa in connection with a double murder in the small town of Hanska, Minnesota. Early Sunday morning, Zimmerman allegedly broke into a home and fatally shot a 32-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office. The victims were found dead at the scene after a juvenile witness called 911, reporting that his mother’s ex-boyfriend was responsible. Zimmerman fled the scene armed with a long gun and was apprehended later Sunday afternoon after a multi-county pursuit involving several Iowa law enforcement agencies. During the chase, Zimmerman reportedly fired at a pursuing deputy but was not hit. Authorities are currently investigating the incident further and awaiting Zimmerman's extradition back to Minnesota.
