JetBlue Resumes Nonstop Flights from Pittsburgh to JFK
JetBlue Airways is reintroducing daily nonstop flights between Pittsburgh International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport starting April 30, 2025, marking its return to the Pittsburgh-New York market after nearly 12 years. The flights will operate year-round, with an outbound departure from Pittsburgh at 7:00 a.m. and an inbound departure from New York at 10:15 p.m. This expansion is part of JetBlue's broader strategy to enhance its East Coast network, particularly for leisure travel, and includes additional connectivity to destinations in the Caribbean. Daniel Shurz, JetBlue's head of revenue and network planning, emphasized the airline's commitment to providing industry-leading service and strengthening its position as the East Coast's leisure airline. The initiative is projected to generate an estimated $14 million in regional economic impact and create up to 136 jobs. Tickets for the new service are already available for purchase online.
