Multiple US Cities Report Arrests in Deadly August-September Shootings

Several recent shootings across the United States have led to multiple arrests and ongoing investigations. In St. Joseph County, Indiana, 18-year-old Tommy Gatheright was charged with multiple felonies connected to an August 17 shooting that seriously injured an 8-year-old girl and a woman, with the girl remaining hospitalized. In Washington, D.C., Richard Holmes was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a fatal shooting on August 26 claimed the life of Franck Foute Mohdjiom. Kentucky authorities are investigating a shooting incident in Laurel County, where a woman was hospitalized after being shot. Baltimore police ruled the 2011 shooting death of Tyrone Wright a homicide after he died in 2025 due to injuries sustained, although the suspect, Brandon Coker, died in prison earlier this year. Additionally, Marquis Davis of Laurel, Maryland, was charged with first- and second-degree murder following a targeted shooting in Hanover that resulted in the death of Deandre Simms.
