Brandy Norwood returns to the horror genre in A24's upcoming film, The Front Room, set to release on September 6, 2024. Directed by Max and Sam Eggers, brothers of acclaimed filmmaker Robert Eggers, the film follows newly-pregnant Belinda as she confronts her sinister mother-in-law, Solange, played by Kathryn Hunter. The story, based on a short story by Susan Hill, explores the psychological horror that ensues when Solange moves in, aiming to take control of Belinda's life and her unborn child. The film's trailers have highlighted its suspenseful nature and unsettling themes, drawing comparisons to works like Get Out. Alongside Brandy and Kathryn Hunter, the cast includes Andrew Burnap and Neal Huff. The Eggers brothers are making their feature directorial debut with this project, having previously contributed to Robert's films such as The Lighthouse and The Witch.
