FIFA Announces Specific Dates for 2026 World Cup
The 2026 World Cup will begin on June 11 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City and conclude with the final at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on 19 July. The tournament will span across 39 days in 16 stadiums located in Canada, Mexico, and the US, marking the first time the tournament will include 48 teams. Matches in Philadelphia will take place at the Lincoln Financial Field on the 14, 19, 22, 25, 27 June and 4 July. MetLife Stadium will host eight matches, including five group stage games, one round of 32, and one round of 16. Both MetLife and AT&T Stadium will replace artificial turf with grass for the games.
