Al-Nassr has sacked head coach Luis Castro after a disappointing start to the 2024-25 season, where the team only secured one win and two draws from their first three matches. The club announced Castro's departure on social media, thanking him for his 14 months of service. During his tenure, Castro guided the team to a runner-up finish in the previous Saudi Pro League season and won the Arab Club Champions Cup. However, his inability to secure further silverware and the team's lackluster performances, including a 1-1 draw against Al-Shorta in the AFC Champions League, led to his dismissal. Reports suggest that former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli is poised to take over. This marks the third managerial change at Al-Nassr since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the club in early 2023.
