Kettering, Howick, Simon's Town tennis courts to undergo renovations

Kettering Tennis Club is set to refurbish its outdoor courts, community seating, and pavilion facilities after receiving a £69,000 grant from the FCC Communities Foundation, facilitated by North Northamptonshire Council. Club chair Christopher Todd emphasized the investment's significance for current and future players, and noted the club's own contribution of nearly £7,500 to the project. The upgrades aim to enhance local engagement and potentially attract further investments for additional tennis facilities, including the possibility of adding padel tennis. Helen Howell, deputy leader of the council, remarked that the funding would greatly benefit the Kettering community. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to improving local sports infrastructure through community partnerships.
