Jessica Rapsys, a 27-year-old native of Naperville, was found safe in Allendale County, South Carolina after being reported missing earlier this week. Rapsys was traveling from Jacksonville, Florida to visit family when she went missing on August 13; her abandoned car was later discovered on railroad tracks with her keys and cell phone still inside. Authorities, including the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), worked collaboratively in the search efforts, which also involved multiple agencies. Rapsys was found after reportedly emerging from an abandoned building and has been taken to a hospital for evaluation. Her family expressed gratitude for the support received during the search and requested privacy moving forward. The Allendale County Sheriff emphasized the importance of teamwork in successfully locating Rapsys.
