Wendell Sailor Charged with Assault in Sydney

Wendell Sailor, a former NRL star, has been charged with five offences following an alleged assault at Pappy's Bar in Sydney, where he reportedly assaulted two men and intimidated another. Jack Butcher, the bar manager, described Sailor's aggressive behavior after a four-hour drinking session, stating that his staff felt 'petrified' during the incident. Police were called to the scene around 11pm, leading to Sailor's arrest and charges including common assault and intimidating a person with intent to cause fear. Sailor has denied the allegations, claiming 'nothing happened' when contacted. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 28 for the assault charges and on November 13 for an apprehended violence order.
