Scherzer Starts Game 3 as Series Tied 1-1
The World Series is tied 1–1 as the teams shift to Los Angeles on Monday. Toronto announced 41‑year‑old Max Scherzer will start Game 3 at Chavez Ravine against Dodgers right‑hander Tyler Glasnow. Scherzer, who was left off Toronto’s Division Series roster and has made only one start this postseason, salvaged the Blue Jays’ playoff run with a 5 2/3‑inning outing in ALCS Game 4 and is making his fourth World Series appearance. The clubs also announced Game 4 starters: Shohei Ohtani for the Dodgers and Shane Bieber for the Blue Jays, setting up Glasnow vs. Scherzer in Game 3 and Ohtani vs. Bieber in Game 4.
