Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Set for 2026

Christopher Nolan's next film will be an adaptation of Homer's 'The Odyssey', set to release in theaters on July 17, 2026. Universal Pictures announced that the film will utilize brand new IMAX technology to bring the epic tale to life, marking the first time the story will be shown on IMAX screens. The star-studded cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron. The narrative follows Odysseus as he navigates a perilous journey home after the Trojan War, battling mythical creatures and divine forces along the way. Filming is slated to begin in early 2025, with Nolan's previous film 'Oppenheimer' having won multiple Academy Awards, including Best Picture. This project continues Nolan's collaboration with Universal Pictures, building on the success of 'Oppenheimer'.
