Crocodile Spotted In Pool At Queensland Resort

A juvenile crocodile was filmed resting on the bottom of the lagoon-style pool at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas, Queensland, while guests relaxed on sun loungers nearby. TikTok user Lisa Keller posted footage of the sighting. Hotel manager Joseph Amerio said the pool was cordoned off after the sighting and Queensland wildlife rangers later removed and rehomed the animal, stressing guests and the crocodile were never in the pool together. The state’s environment agency placed crocodile warning signs and urged people to report sightings via the QWildlife app or hotline. Officials noted other recent local sightings, including a large saltwater crocodile on a nearby golf course, and reminded visitors to remain vigilant around natural waterways.
