Delta Expands Flights for Syracuse Football Away Games

Delta Air Lines is expanding its college football flight schedule this fall, offering increased capacity and new direct flights for Syracuse University fans traveling to high-profile away games against Tennessee in Atlanta and Notre Dame in South Bend. For the Tennessee game, Delta will use a larger A321-200 aircraft for direct flights between Syracuse and Atlanta, accommodating up to 193 passengers. For the Notre Dame matchup, the airline will operate special nonstop flights using a CRJ-900, seating 70-76 fans each way. These flights are scheduled around game weekends to allow convenient travel and are part of a broader initiative by Delta to add over 40 new flights and 8,000 seats to various college towns this season. Tickets for these routes are available now on Delta's website, aiming to make it easier for college football fans to attend key games. The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority praised the move, highlighting the airline's commitment to meeting fan demand and supporting the local community.
