CBS Returns Comics Unleashed With Byron Allen To Post-Colbert Late-Night Slot

CBS is bringing back the comedy talk show "Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen" to its late-night lineup for the 2025-2026 television season, airing at 12:30 a.m. after "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert." The show will replace "After Midnight," which was canceled following host Taylor Tomlinson's decision to return to stand-up comedy full-time. "Comics Unleashed" will air Monday through Friday with back-to-back half-hour episodes starting September 22, 2025, and will also be available to stream live on Paramount+. The program, produced by Allen Media Group, features a rotating panel of comedians and has showcased over 550 performers since its 2006 premiere, including well-known names such as Tiffany Haddish, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Kevin Hart. Byron Allen, the show's creator and executive producer, emphasized his passion for bringing laughter and uniting top comedians through the series. This return follows a limited run of "Comics Unleashed" in the same time slot during fall 2023 and continues CBS's efforts to stabilize its late-night schedule after the end of "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and "After Midnight."
