UK Faces Second Summer Heatwave Across 120+ Areas With Temperatures Above 30C

Britain is preparing for its second heatwave of the summer this weekend, with more than 120 areas expected to experience temperatures surpassing heatwave thresholds defined by the Met Office. Temperatures are predicted to soar above 30C in some regions, with Monday anticipated to be the hottest day, potentially reaching or exceeding the UK's June record of 35.6C set in 1976 and 1957. Heatwave conditions vary by region, requiring temperatures above 28C for three consecutive days in London and parts of the South East, 27C for the rest of the South East, and 25C in the South West, Wales, Northern England, and Northern Ireland.
