Rochdale Grooming Gang Leader Adil Khan Flees UK, Faces Lifetime Ban

Adil Khan, a convicted Rochdale grooming gang leader who impregnated a 13-year-old girl, has fled the UK, prompting a lifetime ban on his return. Despite fighting deportation for nearly a decade by claiming human rights violations due to his teenage son needing a "role model," Khan was found absent during routine police checks and has been confirmed to have left the country. His departure comes amid ongoing negotiations between the British and Pakistani governments to deport him, although he had renounced Pakistani citizenship to avoid such action. Greater Manchester Police and the Home Office are working to locate him, emphasizing that he will never be allowed to return to the UK. Rochdale MP Paul Waugh welcomed Khan's absence but urged continued efforts to deport fellow gang member Abdul Rauf. Both men were part of a nine-strong gang sentenced in 2012 for sexually abusing 47 girls, some as young as 12, over a two-year period.
