Delaware Police Arrest Third Suspect in June Slaughter Beach Shooting
Delaware State Police have arrested Deonte King, 21, of Lincoln, as the third suspect connected to a June 12 shooting near the Slaughter Beach Memorial Volunteer Fire Company pavilion in Milford. The shooting occurred during a party when multiple masked individuals opened fire, injuring a 32-year-old man from Dover who was struck in the lower extremity and later treated and released from a hospital. King, along with previously arrested suspects Tyree Johnson and Tymere Harmon, is charged with multiple felonies including first-degree assault, possession of firearms during the commission of a felony, and conspiracy. King voluntarily surrendered on July 17 and was arraigned with a $234,500 cash bond, and all three suspects were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution. Police continue to investigate the incident and urge anyone with information to contact Detective H. Lingo or Delaware Crime Stoppers. The suspects reportedly fled in a light-colored Honda Accord with Delaware plates after the shooting.
