San Francisco Man Charged with Over Kilogram Fentanyl Trafficking

Jefferson Arrechaba, 31, was arrested and charged with multiple narcotics trafficking counts in San Francisco's Tenderloin district after police observed suspicious activity and found him in possession of large quantities of fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, and alprazolam. Police witnessed Arrechaba making furtive hand movements and tossing car keys into bushes, leading to a search of a vehicle where over a kilogram of fentanyl and significant amounts of other drugs were discovered. Arrechaba was found with nearly 88 grams of fentanyl, cash, empty baggies, and a cell phone on his person. Despite denying all charges in his arraignment, he remains in custody without bail, with a preliminary hearing set for May 23.
