They were apprehended on June 19 in a supermarket parking lot in Gross-Gerau, thanks to 'technical measures' used by investigators. The Schumacher family, still reeling from Michael's severe brain injury sustained in a 2013 skiing accident, has faced previous blackmail attempts. If convicted, the suspects could face up to five years in prison. Extensive investigations remain ongoing, with authorities having seized several data storage devices during raids on eight properties.
