Amazon, Stellantis End Partnership; Stellantis Shifts to Android

Amazon and Stellantis have mutually agreed to end their SmartCockpit partnership, which was launched in 2022 to develop advanced in-car software for Stellantis vehicles. Stellantis will now pivot to using an Android-based system instead of integrating Amazon’s technology. The decision follows significant challenges for Stellantis, including notable declines in stock value, disappointing sales, and executive changes, with Antonio Filosa named as the new CEO. Both companies will continue collaborating on other projects, such as cloud services.
